Welcome to the website for Hallow Church of England Primary School and Nursery.

Together we grow

We aim to provide an outstanding education which develops a love for learning as well as equipping the children with all of the knowledge and skills they will need as they continue their journey into high school and beyond.

The school is a happy, stimulating and caring place that allows each child to grow and develop in the knowledge of Christ, the world and themselves. Our Christian values support all of our work, and our committed team of staff and governors make sure that every child feels nurtured, respected and proud to belong to the community of Hallow.

We hope that you find this website useful and that it helps you to find out about everything we offer.

Please do not hesitate to make an appointment to come and see our wonderful school. We would be delighted to show you around.

Our Christian School Vision

‘Together we grow…’

Rooted in John 15: 1-5, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches.”

Our vision as an inclusive Church School is best depicted by our school prayer, which is rooted in John 15:1-5 (I am the one true vine):

Dear God, Thank you for the things we will learn today; help us make friends along the way; let us show kindness in our school; give us the courage to follow our school rule. Don’t be afraid to be unique, in your faith we forever seek. Grow strong and stable like the vine and keep the Hallow family in our lives.

As a result, Hallow Children leave Year 6 as resilient learners who value and respect themselves and others.

Christian Values - Ethos Statement

Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in Partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
